Long before it ever became a wedding and events venue, it lived in our imaginations as the perfect place for people to gather, celebrate, and begin their own stories.
In 2023, when we moved onto the property ourselves, that long-held dream became impossible to ignore. We saw the potential everywhere — in the towering trees, the open skies, the river walk, and the quiet charm of the land. We knew we wanted to build upon the family legacy and create a space where others could experience the same sense of beauty, meaning, and belonging that this ranch has always given us.
What started as a vision slowly grew into a labor of love: restoring, designing, crafting new spaces, and bringing the ranch to life in a way that honors the past while creating room for unforgettable celebrations. Today, Lazy Stud Ranch stands as a blend of family heritage, thoughtful design, and Colorado countryside magic. It is a place where weddings feel timeless, personal, and deeply connected to the land.

Behind Lazy Stud Ranch is us, Mariah and Kyle, a husband-and-wife team with a shared passion for hospitality, design, and creating spaces that bring people together. From remodeling homes to planting gardens to building custom features throughout the property, we’ve always loved shaping environments that feel warm, inviting, and full of possibility. Bringing this ranch to life has been one of our greatest joys, and we feel honored every time a couple chooses to begin their story here.

Owner & OperatorsIt all began as a dream that turned into reality. Kyle is 3rd generation on the property and has been bringing the family vision to life. He has designed so much of this venue and has created the rock walls throughout the property.
Mariah wanted to help create a beautiful place for everyone to enjoy while also bring more ways to support the community. Farming and hosting memorable moments are two of her biggest passions.
